Headed down to Esso beach today with Ed. Used the 7.0 and the Flow. It was a really mixed bag for me - some great planing blasts when the wind picked up, and was chuffed that I was able to waterstart my 7.0 when there was wind. But then there were long periods without much wind where I found myself unable to waterstart and struggling to even uphaul. Towards the end I lost patience after a few fluffed waterstart attempts when the clew got buried, and didn't have the energy or patience required to uphaul, so ended up drifting in to shore in front of a small audience feeling slightly ashamed!! Still, it was the fifth session of the year, and it had a few highlights. I'm glad I got out.

Ed was really flying on the SX. I was pretty envious, but I have no doubt I wouldn't know what the hell to do with a 9.0 race sail......yet.
